SOS Sahel features in BBC Radio 4 'Archive on Four'

Following SOS Sahel's successful Radio 4 Appeal last April, our UK staff member Lucy Polson was interviewed by Radio 4 for its 'Archive on Four' programme to be aired on Saturday 20th February at 8pm.  Fergal Keane will present an hour-long special on the history of charity appeals and the relationship betwen charities and the media.

Expansion into the Abyei livestock corridor, western Sudan

With funding from Humanity United, SOS Sahel is pleased to announce the expansion of its conflict reduction work into a key livestock corridor in western Kordofan, which borders South Sudan (Abyei) and Darfur.  Here, we have begun working with Misseriyya pastoralists, Dinka farmers, local government and the Native Administration to find a low-cost, long-lasting way to reduce tension at community level and reduce the risk of armed conflict recurring.
