£10 per month for a year could train 8 Village Development Committees in Sudan in leadership management and communication skills; enabling them to manage their own development into the future.

£25 one-off gift could buy certified tomato, watermelon & okra seeds for a family of five in the Arba'at delta of Sudan; enabling a mother to feed her family a healthy diet while generating an income.

£50 one-off gift could pay for a month-long training course for about 75 women to learn about health and nutrition, midwifery and sewing at a women's development centre in Sudan.

£200 annual gift could support community literacy training for 20 people for one year. Literacy skills develop confidence and are the building blocks of strong local organisations

We are stronger now than any Beja women elsewhere. The home gardens gave us a voice and an income - when women become income earners, their brothers and husbands will 'hear' them because they know that the women's income will always be shared with the family. Fatima Getfab, Khor Arba'at, Sudan

By keeping our UK office light on its feet, we were able to spend 94.9% of our income on charitable activities in 2010-11.
